10lb silver nugget
I dug up a 10lb (give or take) silver nugget. Any suggestions on how sell this or even where to start?

Re: 10lb silver nugget
Cool! Please, oh please post some pics!
I bet you could sell it on ebay |
Re: 10lb silver nugget
Would have been really cool if it was Gold  huh?
but Ebay could be your source for the highest price. Proper wording and good pictures is the key |
Re: 10lb silver nugget
That would be pretty dang unusual unless its some kind of fused silver blob from a fire. How do you know its silver and not zinc or lead or ???
If its a natural piece and truely silver, then its worth big money as a specimen. If its a blob from a fire, then you can sell it to a refiner. Google "Hoover and Strong" - they are refiners and on their website they have info. Chris |
Re: 10lb silver nugget
Heck, I'll save you all that trouble. I'll give you $100 for that worthless piece of junk....

I smell a troll.

Re: 10lb silver nugget
Interesting...silver nuggets by far are more rare than gold nuggets. That's why you never hear about anyone "panning" for silver.
Picture please. I've got some 1-2 gram Ag nuggets from northern Michigan but have never recovered any from other places. |
Re: 10lb silver nugget
Ask the bureau of land management what to do :D

Re: 10lb silver nugget
My biggest 125 ounce copper nugget from Ontonagon county in the U P has eight 1-4 gram silver crystals on the outside. A rare example of silver nuggets. Have heard of a few monster sized ones being found at Colbalt Ontario and rumors of some big ones being found and "hygraded" here in the early copper mining days in Michigan. Would like to see yours.

Re: 10lb silver nugget
The picture looks more like big chunks of (maybe) silver ore: rock, rather than a nugget.

Re: 10lb silver nugget
yep. exactly the same way that gold comes out. speckles of metal in ore. these are not "nuggets"
if that was a nugget then I have a gold nugget the size of a basketball in garage. |
